Glasgow Uni is situated in the West End of the city, a 20-minute walk from the main shopping area. The compact campus boasts many historic landmarks as lecture halls. Glasgow has a greater proportion of home-grown students than its rivals Edinburgh or St. Andrews, with two thirds of the student population coming from Scotland. It offers a flexible degree system, meaning that you don’t have to make a final decision about your honours subject until the end of the second year.

There's an LGBT Society and Glasgow itself has a broad gay scene, including the ‘Polo Lounge,’ a favourite haunt of students.
